Questions people actually ask

Is Free really free?
Yes. Every lesson and the whole glossary are free, and you can watch without creating an account. An account (also free) adds saved progress and notes.
What does Premium cost?
$20 per year. That is one payment a year, less than most people's single copay.
Does it renew automatically?
Yes, yearly, until you cancel. That and everything else about billing is spelled out in the billing section of our terms.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Premium is not for you, email us within 30 days of your first purchase and we refund it in full.
How do I cancel?
From the billing portal on your account page, in a couple of clicks, or by emailing us. You keep Premium until the end of the year you paid for.
Is my plan document safe?
Your documents live in private storage only you can access, and the extracted details are encrypted before they reach our database. They are never used to train AI models and never shown to anyone else. The full picture is in our Privacy Policy.
Is this insurance advice?
No. HealthWise is educational information, not licensed insurance advice. We do not sell insurance or earn commissions, and the final decision is always yours.
What if my employer offers HealthWise?
Employers, brokers, and health plans can bring HealthWise to their whole group through the Enterprise plan, and often cover the cost. Ask your benefits team, or send them our way.
If my employer brings HealthWise to us, can they see my data?
No. Your account is yours alone. Your employer or broker never sees your documents, your questions, your plan choices, or anything else about your individual activity. Organizations receive only aggregate, anonymized reporting, like what share of the group finished a course, and that separation is written into every enterprise contract.
I'm a broker. Does sharing HealthWise create liability for me?
HealthWise is an education resource that members use under our name and our Terms of Service, not advice given by you. Every member agrees to our terms directly with us, every recommendation is generated from their own documents and carries our educational-only disclaimer, and we do not sell insurance or earn commissions. The guidance is ours to stand behind, not yours.
What kinds of plans does it support?
Medical, dental, and vision coverage, whether it comes from an employer group or the ACA marketplace: HMO, PPO, EPO, POS, and high-deductible (HDHP/HSA) designs, including the metal tiers. Upload a benefits guide, plan summary, or Summary of Benefits and Coverage as a PDF or photo, or type the numbers in by hand. Medicare and Medicaid documents are not tuned for yet.
What happens to my data if I leave?
You can delete any upload, or your whole account, at any time. Deleting your account cancels billing and permanently removes your plans, answers, progress, and notes.
